An earthquake measuring 5.0 Richter scale (SR) rocked Saumlaki, Maluku. Until now there has been no reports of damage and casualties from the incident.
According to information Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics (BMKG), the quake occurred on Friday night March 25, 2011, at 20:23 pm. The quake was at a depth of 88 kilometers.
The quake's epicenter was at 8:18 coordinates latitude south and longitude 130.52 east. The quake was detected at 91 kilometers southwest of Saumlaki, Maluku. Based on data from this earthquake BMKG no potential to cause tsunami.
