Kate Middleton Dress new

NEWS!!
Kate Middleton made her historic wedding day entrance this morning in style.
Arriving via car with her father Michael Middleton, the royal bride stepped out and at long last debuted her beautiful wedding dress: An Alexander McQueen gown custom-designed by Sarah Burton, the label's creative director.

The stunning gown features a long veil, with lace covering up Middleton's bare arms and shoulders. Prince William's bride reportedly did her own makeup. Her hair? Half up, half down, with a white veil and white ring atop her head.

Fashion lovers got their wish Friday morning when Catherine Middleton alighted from her limousine at Westminster Abbey wearing a lace-topped wedding gown by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen. The ivory satin gazar gown has long lace sleeves, which is certain to set a fashion trend. It was modest enough for the grand, formal setting, but still chic. The skirt has a full, graceful skirt and cathedral-length train.
The reveal ended months of speculation about which British designer Middleton would pick to create the dress for her marriage to Prince William. The choice will be popular in the fashion world because McQueen, a much-loved designer, died earlier this year. Burton is a respected addition to the English fashion
scene. The wedding gown reflects Middleton's love of classic design, but is relatively understated. The aesthetic extended to her simple veil and the diamond "halo" tiara the bride wore. The Cartier piece was loaned by Queen Elizabeth, according to BBC America commentators. It's hard not to compare Catherine's dress to the elaborate, frothy gown and lengthy train by David and Elizabeth Emmanuel worn by Princess Diana 30 years earlier.
Prince William cut a dashing figure in the scarlet uniform he wears for his rank as colonel of the Irish Guard. They looked every bit the storybook couple as William slipped a gold band on Middleton's finger. They will be known as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, titles bestowed on them by Queen Elizabeth.
The bride's sister and maid of honor, Philippa Middleton, wore a slim, full-length ivory gown with a deep cowl neck. It was an interesting choice for its simplicity and timelessness.
If you were a fashionable woman among the nearly 2,000 guests at Westminster Abbey on Friday morning, it was all about the hat. The millinery industry in England has clearly been busy these past few months whipping up all manner of chapeaus large and small, pinwheels and poufs, adding features, ribbons, flowers and bows to their creations.
